Anyone able to give me a couple of things to try with my auto resetting problem? (couple of posts above).
AMD based system. Hazard distro. Tried using boot loader. Getting auto reset problems, or Kernel panics....
Any scenarios for me to try welcome :)
Cheers.

YOOHOO.. Mac installation complete.. but then this comes up on restart..

The only time the installation completes is when I choose a bootloader. (Chameleon RC3 PCEFI 10.5) . It says for intel only. But without choosing this the installation never completes. I checked almost every other option.

Here is what I choose:
10.6.2 update bundle
Chameleon RC3 PCEFI 10.5
Legacy Kernel 10.2.0 Intel AMD
SMBIOSResolver
ElliotForceLegacyRTC

Thats it.
No drivers.
Please please please help!! I can sense i am not far. Also I have to get cracking with logic before my exams.

BUMP!!

Hi chillybilly I followed your instructions as close as I could
Firstly I downloaded the software and make the boot cd with it and then I followed the steps to swap the discs over etc. But when I entered -v -x it would load and then end up with a kernel panic which I think it's called and it just stays at that screen then when I started trying different ways like just clicking enter instead of inputting -v -x the apple loading screen would come up but there would be no loading wheel beneath the apple logo and I get stuck at that loading screen.

These are my laptops specs :
Processor - AMD Athlon 64x2 QL-65
Ram- 8GBs
Graphics card- ATI RAEDION
250GB SATA HDD
The laptop is a packard bell TJ61 easy note

I've spent hours tackling the problem and have now run out of ideas

Any help would be greatly appreciated :) thanks.
