Reboot at startup after successful installation

Maybe a strange question but I keep reading about using -v -f when Mac is booted to delete Extensions.mkext,, but I'm not really sure what is supose to happen when I boot with -v -f? Because when I do so, I see large amounts of text flying by and then, black screen (no reboot).

is this a laptop ? if so have you tried plugging on an external screen ?

Yes, Asus G51J, and no, no external screen yet, but how could that make a difference since that, as well as the normal laptop screen, is controlled by the videocard/driver and if that is the problem, it won't work on a external screen either? Not that I'm not willing to try or anything At this point all ideas are welkom! I'm give it a try..

Tried it, no succes. Exactly the same as when I'm using the laptopscreen.

Managed to capture text after boot with -v -x.

I'm was using the following settings:

Mac OS X 10.6.2
AnV 10.2.0 Kernel
Chameleon RC4
IOATAFamily.Fix
Remove_AppleTyMCEDriver
SMBIOSResolver

SUCCES at last, used the most simple settings for instal and then booted with pirate_efi_x_v0.3 and selected the Mac HDD on with I installed SL. Apparently this bootloader resolves a lot more problems than the chameleon. Problem now is to find the right kexts for AUDIO, W-LAN and find a solution for booting the system because now I still have to use the cd. Anybody suggestions?

yes i have 1 suggestion ...

when you at your desktop make a account at kexts.com and download the latest chameleon that has an smbios installer in it and also from that site get hold of chameleon wizard too.

chameleon wizard shows you all of the options in the boot loader and can get themes for your boot loader though and theme over 1MB will not download correctly anywhoo in your picture it looks like your booting in x64bit mode try when your on a newer chameleon to boot into x32 bit mode via "arch=i386"
