Hi guys,

I installed the system using "busratio=20 cpus=1" parameters and got a successful install. The box has 1 HDD with 1 partition formatted with mac os journaled, I removed all existing partitions before start so it was a clean HDD install.

After boot the system (HDD) I get only a blinking cursor (_).

Can you guys help me?

Thanks in advance.

reet what did you choose on the install, and do you need to change your bios settings to boot from the hdd rather than the cd/dvd rom drive ?

what is/are your systems specs ?

HDD sata or ide etc ? snow leopard hates ide stuff .. and so on .

Sorry, I don't understand "reet", is this a slang? :)

After install I changed the BIOS settings to boot from the HDD, if I boot from DVD the setup process starts again.

BIOS American Megatrends v02.61
HDD Samdung HD320Hj SATA (1 volume, writable, journaled HFS+, disk0s2)
Processor Intel Dual-Core 2.7 GHz
2 GB SDRAM
Video built-in Intel (no kext loaded)

I'm not sure how I did but pressing keys during boot I saw the message: System config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found

BTW I used the GUID option when creating the partition during the install process

Thanks!

on the "install summary" screen, I see:

To begin installing Mac OS X, click install
To change your installation settings, click customize

When I installed I didn't customize, I clicked on install and used the default options.

isn't that correct? Should I click on customize and choose the packages? if so, what packages?

thank you all

I installed the packages bellow and now I get the "you need restart your computer. Hold down the power button until it turns off, then press the power button again" error message.

The first line on the screen says:
"panic(cpu 0 caller 0x2a76e6): version mis-match between kernel and cpu PM..."

suggestions?

thanks!
