ain't work for me too.

did it exactly as described in your first post but it didn't solved the boot loop problem. same as before :(.

this is what i posted in another board. maybe it helps to solve my problem?

hallo!

beforehand: i'm from germany. so please excuse my english skills.

i'm trying to get hazard 10.6.2 intel/amd run on my pc for three days now, but no chance.
i tried quite every boot flag and setting in bios but either i get kernel panic with "waiting for boot volume with uuid" or i just get a boot loop. i never saw the installer so far.

my system specs are:

asrock 880g pro3
amd phenom x2 555 2x3,2ghz
8gb teamelite ram
xfx radeon 5670 passive
liteon ihas 124-19 sata
samsung spinpoint f3 1tb (with windows 7 installed)

i even tried iatkos s3 v2.
same procedure:

cd boots, some lines are passing by in the upper right corner and my system restarts (boot loop).

i've got cnq/firewire disabled and i also changed ide to ahci.

i used google for three days now but nothing solves my problems.

would be glad if someone here could help me!

thx & regards from germany

What worked for me because I have an AMD Phenom II X4 965, I typed " -x -v busratio=20 cpus=1 " This allowed it to work. I have tried countless times to get it to work, but this was the only solution. You need to specify your busratio if on AMD if you a multiple core processor.

hey men ! first of all ! thank you ! you just save me from my problem ! but now , heres another problem ! so i tried your guide perfectly, and when i type -v -x and hit enter, it shows to me that it stops at Still waiting for root device . it shows still waiting for root device when im in ACHI mode , i tried IDE mode, and it shows like this,

continuing
done
MACH Reboot
IOBluetoothHCIController::terminateWL . . done
E:[AppleUSBBluetoothHCIController][InterruptReadHandler] Received kIOReturnAborted with 1 pending interrupt .

there you go ! :) thanks for your help man ! hopefully to solved my problem ! :DD

Sounds like your BIOS may not be set correctly. Make sure your set to ACHI and then try to boot again :)

men ! your saying ACHI ? not AHCI ? coz in my BIOS , it says AHCI, like this

SATA
* AHCI
* IDE

like that one, is it just the same ? or not ? thanks man !

hey buddy here is the configuration of my laptop on which i m trying to install the snow-leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2

compaq presario 101AU
processor : AMD athlon x2 64bit 1.9Ghz
RAM : 3gb DDR2
Hard drive : 160gb
GPU : Nvidia 8200GM

FIRST PROBLEM :

i downloaded the "Snow.Leopard.10.6.1-10.6.2.SSE2.SSE3.Intel.AMD.www.dayn.org" file from a famous torrent site. i didnt know how to use it. i burnt this on a dvd.
and followed a youtube guide for installation.

youtube guide link........ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqWBqpO5RFA

as i boot from this dvd following name appears..

"hd(31,0) Snow_Leopar_10.6.1-10.6.2_SSE2_SSE3_Intel_AMD_by_Hazard"

(NOTE : in the youtube the file is appeard as "hd(111,0) Snow...._by_Hazard" kindly tell me m i using a wrong file?)

then as per youtube instrution i typed the following command...

-v -busratio=20 maxmem=4096

after pressing enter few files load and system restarts... and this is never ending repeatation.

SECOND PROBLEM

i tried to install the same file using VMWARE WORKSTATION 8 and followed the same path i followed in real installation. here luckly the file is loaded and the installation procedure is started.. but when actual installation begins.... its taking extremly huge time to install i guess more than 8 hours..... In the youtube video it was said it would take half hour to install..

now after installation (i think installation is done) in VMWARE it is stuck at some point and saying me following message

"You need to restart your computer. Hold down the power button untill it turns off, then press the power button again."
now how to continue in the vmware the installation..???

in the youtube guide the file got installed in less than 15 mins... and after installation the pc got restarted automatically showing message that Mac has been sucessfully installed. and the later its setup is followed on...

kindly guide me

thanks
