First off i would say its your IDE HDD. Either buy a cheap convertion kit to SATA or wait untill you have your 500GB SATA up and running. Snow Leopard dont like IDE Drives :)

stupid IDE it has caused me so uch frustation ahahha. ill be putting the SATA in it tonight.

Now when i go through the install do i have to just select the one driver for each thing eg. video card and then one driver for network and so on, or can i just select all and it will know which one to use at boot up?

Thanks

Hi guys.... Having trouble with the Hazard distro install...
Tried using the distro on its own, but I get the auto reset scenario.
Tried using the BOOT_KABYL_BUMBY as a loader, and get a bit further.....

Screendump of last attempt loaded as attachment.
Screen1.jpg

System Specs;

Gigabyte Mainboard GA-890FXA-UD7
AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
8GB DDR3 Ram installed (not sure if that would cause a problem during install)
Nvidia GTX 470 (It's a dual card incase you were wondering)
OCZ Vertex 256Gb Solid State HDD with Windows (READ NOTE)
Samsung HD103UJ 1TB Drive
OCZ CORE 121GB Solid State Drive (READ NOT)

NOTE:
BIOS has a boot manager which allows me to pick any device as a boot option.
I have Win 7 running on the OCZ Vertex
I plan on getting the the OSX on the OCZ Core drive.

The system hangs when I try the install, I've fiddled for nearly 3 days with settings in the BIOS, but am now stuck....
Any help would be appreciated....

Hi.
This is my first post here for my first hack. I downloaded the 10.6.1-10.6.2 and I got the pc restart problem. Then used this boot CD. Well!!! The installation starts but stops midway!!. Tried almost all combinations to customize still no luck. It freezes at 3 mins or 4 mins remaining. When I say Freezes, I mean the installation stops moving forward, the dvd drive stops blinking and the HDD light stops as well. Mouse works and that blue installation bar animation thing is still on. Left it overnight once. No progress.
Same thing happens with the Kalyway distro too.

I have a :

Gigabyte GA-MA78GM-S2H mobo
AMD Phenom X3 8450
SATA dvd drive and SATA HDD

Hope u guys can help me..

Thanks in Advanced..

EDIT: BTW It installed sucessfully on VMware and on VBOX. But I want to use my Firewire soundcard on Logic. and Virtual machines dont support Firewire :(...

YOOHOO.. Mac installation complete.. but then this comes up on restart..

The only time the installation completes is when I choose a bootloader. (Chameleon RC3 PCEFI 10.5) . It says for intel only. But without choosing this the installation never completes. I checked almost every other option.

Here is what I choose:
10.6.2 update bundle
Chameleon RC3 PCEFI 10.5
Legacy Kernel 10.2.0 Intel AMD
SMBIOSResolver
ElliotForceLegacyRTC

Thats it.
No drivers.
Please please please help!! I can sense i am not far. Also I have to get cracking with logic before my exams.
