asus x54c/ gateway ma3 6452

hey i have a new asus x54c, and a old gateway ma3 6452/6451 the asus has dual core Pentium 2.2 ghz. and the gateway has AMD Turion x2 1.6 ghz. i have yet to get any osx to boot on the asus eve the disks wont load. the gateway i have got 10.4.8 jas to run but had no networking interfaces working at all. i would like to get osx running on the asus via a harddrive enclosure that i have. can anyone help me get one of my machines running at least 10.6? i have a hazard 10.6.0/10.6.2 install dvd but have yet to get it to install on any of my computers except when i dual booted it with lion on a dell desktop at school on harddrive enclosure then booted it on my old dell gx280 desktop which is pentium 4 ht @ 2.8 ghz
