You can try either iDeneb or iPC
either should work perfectly for you
if you go with ideneb 1.6 lite use this as a reference

iPC is more or less the same battle, gotta know what you're doing sorta

this is what I used to boot into install on those: -v -f cpus=4 fsb=200000000
cpus would be 3 in your case

No no, Hazard is the best, You just have to use the correct Patched Kernel, Usually its the Legacy_kernel_10.2.0 But the Blacknight kernel has been fixed for certain Phenom chips ;)

Try to reset the bios first, using defaults...

Mine (Biostar 790GX A3) wont enter the bootloader nor install without setting the BIOS first.

Cool n Quite : disable
ACPI SRAT Table: disable
ACPI: v.1 or v.2 (v.3 will give me memory mapping error)
ACPI APIC: enable

My System: AMD phenom X3 720 unlock to X4
Biostar 790GX A3
G-Skill 4GBECO 1600MHz
MSI GTS 250 Twin Frozzr

hope this help... :D

Hi, i know this is an "old" thread, but i have almost the same computer.. the same mobo, a Seagate HD, and half the SAME BRAND ram. :D
The mobo has an "nvidia 8300" chipset, it's similar to the nForce 780a, but not the same. i have read that some people installed Mac in this mobo, but i'm still trying. Las time i used mac was a Tiger in a Pentium 4 Presscot, so i want to be up to date now i got a "good" hard.

Well, straight to the problem, i got this iso: "Snow_Leopard_10.6.1-10.6.2_SSE2_SSE3_Intel_AMD_by_Hazard".

Ok, now, i can't go past from the boot of the CD. It starts, and it just hangs, i enabled/disabled all the combos of options in the bios. AHCI, no AHCI, disabled the AMD Live, Cool 'n' Quiet, Strat table disabled/enabled etc.

I got it working with this iso in an VMWARE, so it's not the iso.

I've got an IDE dvd reader, i don't know if this is the problem.

I always use the verbose option, for everything (gentoo linux user), so what i've seen so far is that it boots, starts the loading, darwin ok, but then it stops in some error that i don't remember, i'm going to reboot now and note it so you can help me.

EDIT: i've read about the Empire EFI and those things. Do i need this to boot the dvd?

Some guy installed this on an 8200 which is the same but underclocked:

M4N78-AM NVIDIA GeForce 8200
Used [Intel/AMD] Snow Leopard 10.6.1-10.6.2 SSE2-SSE3 Intel/AMD by Hazard
Installation method: from USB key to SATA HDD (booted with cdboot (boot132) for 10.6)
Installation options: Combo Update 10.6.2, Legacy Kernel 10.2, Elliott Force Legacy RTC, AMD Patch
CPU: AMD Athlon64 x2 5200+ AM2 Tray "Brisbane" (X2 5200 = 2,7 GHz, cache L1=2x128kB, cache L2=2x512kB, 65W)
SATA: Works
IDE: Doesn't work
LAN: Partially works (creates new NVEthernet interface each boot time)
Audio: VIA VT 1708S works out of the box
USB: Works
Video: NVIDIA GeForce 8200 ( no QE/CI, set to 32MB shared in bios, boot with "Graphics Mode"="1440x900x32@60" to set resolution )
Sleep, Wake, Shutdown, Reboot is not working
